Glider Chair

Furniture Design Glider Chair by Lars Angaard Madsen The chair is characterized by the contrast between the warm, organic seat fold with its streamlined T curve, and the cold, geometric armrests. The broad, many facetted flat metal frame creates a dynamic experience, appearing almost invisible one moment, only to be imposing in the next. The tubular cantilever base with its curved bends creates balance, while the reflective chrome surface gives the chair a floating quality. The tapered shape created by the meeting of all these parts is evocative of a glider's aerodynamic lightness, enriching both modern and traditional interiors.
