Furniture Design Marathon Boy Bookends by Sophia Enjoy Thinking The unique Marathon Boy Bookends successfully revive the Ancient Greek cultural heritage through contemporary design practices. Combining innocence with physical perfection, the victorious young athlete is a reminder that belief in oneself is a prerequisite for success and personal fulfillment. The project was an attempt to revive the cultural design industry through re-establishing the notion of cultural gift for museum and art shops. It is handmade in Greece, made out of ceramine, a unique material imitating the properties of materials used in Ancient Greece.
